Martyrs in the Making

@MyNameIsBizzle and @BumpsINF have accomplished what so few have yet to accomplish in regards to Hip Hop music…they’ve managed to put out a GREAT project entitled #MartyrsInTheMaking which is considered “Christian Hip Hop,” but sounds just as good, if not better, than a lot of mainstream Hip Hop that’s currently being engulfed by the masses. #Bizzle a.k.a Mark Felder is an L.A. native who has turned down a number of record deals, so that he can stay on his path of righteousness, and his music has been putting other Emcees to task about the nature of their lyrics. Martyrs in the Making is clearly that album that gives you all the hot tracks and catchy rhyme-verses, without having all of the “run-of-the-mill” negative content. #Bizzle really captured a name for himself when he released the song “You got some explaining to do,” which was directed towards @S_C_ (Jay-Z). So whether you’re of faith, no matter your beliefs, or not of faith….you’d still want to listen to the latest mixtape #MartyrsInTheMaking from #Bizzle, which features @BumpsINF who is equally versed in rhyme delivery as well as blessing folks with spittin’ the scripture!

Common ft. Nas "Ghetto Dreams"

Video:

In this video, Common breaks down verses from his recently releases single “Ghetto Dreams” ft. Nas

Common and Nas are both known for being able to transition their story-telling from Hood-to-Good….meaning they can paint vivid/detail oriented masterpieces of life in the inner-city as well as life in the “Good” section of town, which is comprised of fine dining, shopping, partying and so on.

Common returns to the rawness with this selection off his upcoming album, The Dreamer, The Believer, with production by No I.D.

Watch the Throne: The heavily awaited/ anticipated album from Jay-Z & Kanye West with a new release date of August 2, 2011

The Anticipatory factor regarding this album is crazy…the blogs are goin’ blog-zilla on it…yet Jay and ‘Ye have done a great job of keeping the security measures up on this album…no leaks as of yet…H.A.M. was introduced and doesn’t look as though it’s gonna even appear on the August 2nd release of Watch the Throne.

Jay-Z has had the media/reporters listening event recently in a SoHo hotel where the reviews of the collaborative project were that this album is a must have….so therefore….I must have it when it drops.

I would post the track listing, but the official track listing isn’t available as of yet…well not to everyone anyway.

Beats, Rhymes & Life the travels of A Tribe Called Quest—Directed by Micheal Rapaport in theaters July 8, 2011

It’s kinda funny that this joint was put together by “Remy” from the 1995 film “Higher Learning” which featured Ice Cube as an Afro-Rockin’, Pro-Black student and Mike Rapaport aka “Remy” as the “New” white-supremacist on campus who got his ass beat a lot!

I guess this documentary shows “Remy’s” versatility. All jokes aside…the joint was dope and tribe fans need to rock wit’ it!

So if you’re a fan of “Check the Rhime”, “Lyrics to Go”, “Bonita Applebaum” and many more, or just a “Nu-Clear Cleaners” employee who was there for the video shoot in ‘91, go find out what the tribe was….and is all about.

NEW MUSIC for the MASSES: Colbie Caillat featuring Common “Favorite Song”

Now this may not be a match made in heaven for some Common fans….this odd pairing brings to light some creative chemistry between the two, and that’s not all bad. Common’s my guy and with the recent release of “Ghetto Dreams” featuring Nas off his upcoming album “The Dreamer”, this presents the broad-spectrum of versatility this guy has…”Favorite Song” is a single off of Clobie’s new album “All of You” which will be released this Tuesday….so check it out, and judge for yourself…will it be one of summers “get-down” joints?
